M&M Cannabis cookies

Ingredients:

• Cannabis Butter:

  • 1 cup unsalted butter

  • 7-10 grams of decarboxylated cannabis

• Cookies:

  • 1 cup cannabis butter, softened

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 2 large eggs

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour

  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1 1/2 cups M&M's candies

Instructions:

Making Cannabis Butter:

1. Decarboxylate the Cannabis:

   • Preheat your oven to 245°F (120°C).

   • Break up the cannabis into small pieces and spread them evenly on a baking sheet.

   • Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cannabis should be golden brown.

2. Infuse the Butter:

   • In a saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter on low heat.

   • Add the decarboxylated cannabis to the melted butter.

   • Simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.

   • Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth into a jar, squeezing out all the butter. Discard the plant material.

Making the Cookies:

1. Preheat the Oven:

   • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

2. Mix Wet Ingredients:

   • In a large bowl, cream together the softened cannabis butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth and fluffy.

   • Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.

3. Combine Dry Ingredients:

   • In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt.

   • Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

4. Add M&M's:

   • Gently fold in the M&M's candies.

5. Shape the Cookies:

   • Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them about 2 inches apart.

6. Bake:

   • Bake in the preheated oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are lightly browned but the centers are still soft.

7. Cool:

   • Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
