Cannabis Topical Cream Recipe

Ingredients:

• Cannabis Coconut Oil:

  • 1 cup coconut oil

  • 7-10 grams of decarboxylated cannabis

• Topical Cream:

  • 1/2 cup cannabis-infused coconut oil

  • 1/2 cup shea butter or cocoa butter

  • 1/4 cup beeswax pellets

  • 10-15 drops of essential oils (optional, for fragrance)

  • 1-2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil (optional, for preservation)

Instructions:

Making Cannabis Coconut Oil:

1. Decarboxylate the Cannabis:

   • Preheat your oven to 245°F (120°C).

   • Break up the cannabis into small pieces and spread them evenly on a baking sheet.

   • Bake for 30-40 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cannabis should be golden brown.

2. Infuse the Coconut Oil:

   • In a saucepan or double boiler, melt 1 cup of coconut oil on low heat.

   • Add the decarboxylated cannabis to the melted oil.

   • Simmer on low heat for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.

   • Strain the mixture through a cheesecloth into a jar, squeezing out all the oil. Discard the plant material.

Making the Topical Cream:

1. Prepare the Base:

   • In a double boiler or a heat-safe bowl over a pot of simmering water, combine the cannabis-infused coconut oil, shea butter (or cocoa butter), and beeswax pellets.

   • Stir occasionally until everything is melted and well combined.

2. Add Optional Ingredients:

   • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.

   • Stir in the essential oils and vitamin E oil, if using.

3. Cool and Whip:

   • Allow the mixture to cool to room temperature. You can place it in the refrigerator to speed up the process.

   • Once it starts to solidify but is still slightly soft, use a hand mixer or stand mixer to whip the mixture until it becomes light and fluffy.

4. Store:

   • Transfer the whipped cream into a clean, airtight container.

   • Store in a cool, dark place. The cream should keep for several months.

Usage:

Apply a small amount of the cannabis topical cream to the affected area and massage gently until absorbed. Use as needed for relief from pain, inflammation, and other localized conditions.

• Be sure to label the container clearly and keep it out of reach of children and pets.

• Test the cream on a small patch of skin before using it more broadly to ensure you do not have an adverse reaction.
